The candidate must have six (6) months minimum experience in manufacturing production or similar exposure; the ability to operate industrial machinery, systems and Work around moving equipment; the employee must also have the ability to receive and enter data on computers; the desire and motivation to work in a team-based environment; be able to wear safety equipment such as ear plugs, eye protection and steel-toe boots; have the ability to stand on a concrete floor for 8 to 12 hours/day on any one of our three (3) shifts and the ability to work weekends as needed (must have flexibility and be able to work multiple shifts, if necessary); accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed; arrange machine at the beginning of work procedures to ensure that everything is in order; test the machine before main work begins to be sure that it’s in good condition for production; clean up machine parts after every work procedure; perform repetitive jobs on machines; be able to work in an environment that is not temperature controlled; highly preferred Power Industrial Truck experience.
1.0 Primary duties / responsibilities include:
1.1 - following all safety rules and practices;
1.2 - reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements;
1.3 - identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders;
1.4 - performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met;
1.5 - assisting other associates as needed;
1.6 - accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment;
1.7 - inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications;
1.8 - identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials;
1.9 - accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records;
1.10 - keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations;
1.11 - maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;
1.12 - maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and
1.13 - performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
The qualifications for this position are the ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
