ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Business Development & Brand Manager at New School Foods, you'll spearhead the company's growth by forging strategic partnerships with fine dining restaurants and B2B food businesses. In this role, your primary focus will be on generating leads through targeted outreach, nurturing relationships with potential clients, and effectively presenting the benefits of our product. Additionally, you'll be responsible for monitoring market trends to identify new opportunities for business growth. Additionally, you'll serve as the brand ambassador, leveraging social media to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

AS OUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & BRAND MANAGER, YOU WILL:

Lead Generation:

  • Identify and target potential fine dining restaurants and B2B food business clients through research and outreach efforts.

  • Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including chefs, purchasing managers, and owners, to showcase the benefits of New School Foods' plant-based salmon filets.

  • Arrange meetings and product demonstrations with prospective clients, coordinating with our CEO to present the product and provide samples.

  • Track and analyze sales data and market trends to identify new opportunities and optimize strategies for business growth.

Brand Ambassador:

  • Take ownership of being a brand ambassador for New School Foods, representing our company values and commitment to quality and sustainability through our social media efforts.

  • Develop and maintain a strong social media presence to showcase our product, generate buzz and engage with potential customers and industry influencers.

  • Create compelling content and social media campaigns to support build hype and lead generation efforts.

  • Test and track the effectiveness of various social media campaigns and other strategies that continue to enable our growth.

  • Possessing a background in working within startup environments, you bring an inherent understanding of the dynamic nature of such settings.

  • Your experience enables you to navigate ambiguity and rapid changes with ease, while proactively implementing effective structures and processes to support growth and efficiency.

  • Your adaptability and flexibility shine as you seamlessly adjust to evolving priorities and market demands, ensuring New School Foods remains agile and responsive in its operations.

  • You excel in environments where innovation and quick decision-making are imperative, thriving under pressure while maintaining a composed demeanor.

  • Your ability to embrace change fosters a culture of resilience within the team, inspiring others to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

  • With a keen eye for emerging trends and a proactive approach to problem-solving, you are a catalyst for innovation, driving New School Foods towards sustained success in the competitive market landscape.

YOU WILL BRING:

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the food industry or related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business success.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and experience leveraging them for lead generation and brand building.

New School Foods offers competitive salaries and benefits, paid time off, and more. This position is for our Toronto, Canada location but we are open to remote candidates.
