POLITICO is seeking a dynamic, creative and enterprising journalist to anchor our coverage of New York state politics and co-author New York Playbook, the most authoritative political newsletter in the state. This is a high-profile, high-stakes position for a reporter who wants to set the agenda in Albany.
We’re looking for someone with a strong voice, a track record of delivering big scoops and a sophisticated understanding of politics in Albany, New York City and D.C. We need someone who can wow New York political insiders while also penning must-read stories for a national and global audience. Candidates should be brimming with fresh ideas, comfortable hosting events and excited about the chance to be an ambassador for our brand.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in New York is $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year. The final salary offered, which may be higher than the current anticipated salary range, to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
