The company delivers television programming outside of the Philippines to over 3 million viewers in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and other countries in Asia, through the internet and the Company’s global distribution platform, TFC, using DTH satellite service, cable television channels, IPTV, mobile applications and video streaming services. RESPONSIBILITIES

The News Story Editor develops, edits and writes content, structure and storytelling flow for a program as assigned by the Executive Producer or his/her representative.

OUTPUT DETAILS:
• Writes and edits scripts in the line-up and checks the content for accuracy, structure and storytelling flow
• Edits and polishes VO news reports for approval of EP / Supervising Producer/s
• Writes VO lead-ins, including the titles and icons
• Monitors daily news and competition; INEWS advisories/updates
• For special segments: Writes the abstract/story outline for the script or segment for submission to the EP, including special and exclusive interviews
• Attends brainstorming meetings and submits viable topics/story suggestions
• May be assigned in breaking news, rolling coverage and special live events coverage

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of Mass Communication, Communication Arts, Journalism, or any related courses.
• At least 1-3 years of solid experience.
• Mastery of English in editorial, verbal & written communication.
• Excellent knowledge of current events and history.
• Possesses sound editorial judgment.
