Business Intelligence Analyst - Transportation

OverviewThe analytics team insights and supports through analysis, business intelligence, dashboarding, and process improvement. A Business Intelligence analyst possesses a blend of business vision, consultant abilities, and a profound understanding of data. In this role, you will lead financial, operational, and market intelligence projects to support internal and external stakeholders. Analysis of KPIs, accurate overview of business performance, and identifying areas that need improvement are all in the BI analyst’s domain. This position reports to a manager-level role.Responsibilities• Senior -level support to lead projects to deploy business intelligence solutions for internal and external NFI customers• Develop and deploy predictive/prescriptive models, leveraging core statistical practices and open-source technologies• Promote data -driven decision-making by compiling , using, analyzing, interpreting, , and sharing data to evaluate and predict both internal and external needs• Responsible for all aspects of business intelligence projects, including data integration specs, reporting, and documentation• Act as a liaison amongst the Customer, Operations, and IT in all communications• Thoroughly document all work and comply with development best practices• Identify and rectify data and process gaps• Maintain or update systems or other methods to provide support for existing reports, dashboards, or visualizations• Identify and analyze industry or geographic trends with business strategy implications• Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, or other stakeholdersQualifications• Degree in Logistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field• 3+ years of Supply Chain or adjacent experience preferred• Experience with WMS, TMS, Payroll, and Data Structure methodologies• Experience with Office or Workspace productivity and collaboration software (G-Suite, Office365, or similar)• Understands how to connect to multiple data sources and databases, and how to store and manipulate data efficiently using tools such as Power Automate, Data Factory, and Azure• Strong SQL understanding and experience needed• Advanced knowledge of Excel (including VBA), Python, and R are a plus• Experience with Data Visualization tools and libraries in Power BI• GIS skills a plus- ESRI (ArcGIS, ArcPro, ArcGIS online), QGIS, CARTO, Google Maps, Google Earth• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and with external customers, both written and oral• Exceptional writing skills for both business and technical documentation• Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team and independently with a strong commitment to getting the job at hand completed on time• Outstanding problem-solving abilities• Being adaptable to different tasks and responsibilities as required to help achieve the team's objectives.• Basic coaching and mentoring skills• Self-motivated with the ability to be a proactive problem solverEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
