Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information and Digital Office is seeking well-qualified Network Administrators to join its dynamic team of technical professionals across the United States. Individuals possessing the clearance level and experience detailed below should apply and enter career discovery about the position.

  • Network Engineer: 
    Maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs to include the planning, designing configuration, and installation of CISCO network hardware in support of customer requirements.
  • Principal Network Engineer:
    Technical expert leading projects involving expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges and gateways.
  • Sr. Principal Network Engineer:
    Leads teams performing the Installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.  May also coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.  In addition, Windows server and desktop knowledge required, in order to help Windows administrators with server and desktop tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Network Engineer:
    Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 0 years of experience; 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
  • Principal Network Engineer:
    Associate's degree and 7 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
  • Sr. Principal Network Engineer:
    Associate's degree and 11 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience, or Master's degree and 7 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

Background and Experience Needed For All Linux Administrator Positions:

  • Must have work experience maintaining LAN & WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on any size environment, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls).

  • Minimum of DoD Secret level security clearance as a condition of employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company as a condition of continued employment.
  • Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date; certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $130,000.00Salary Range 2: $107,800.00 - $181,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
