Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons has an opening for an OO Software Test Engineer with an active clearance, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  The selected candidate for this position is required to be on-site in one of the following locations needs: Northridge, CA, Linthicum, MD, or Tuscan AZ. Salaries ranges are listed specific to location below.  Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.

As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting one of our programs for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise with:

• Proficiency in C++, Java or similar object-oriented languages
• Writing Software Test Plans and Test Descriptions and running tests
• Comfortable working in a lab environment and operating hardware and testing software at a system level
• Running post processing procedures and documenting findings
• Working with multiple teams simultaneously
• Collaborating with Stakeholders and Government customers

Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer (T02): 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in C++ or any object-oriented (OO) programming language
• Experience Atlassian Tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Current U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation or analysis
• Experience working in an Agile Environment
• Jira - issue tracking and agile project management, or similar tool
• Multi-core and multi-threaded programming
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools
• Comfortable working in a lab environment
• Familiar using test equipment (Oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
• Current U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years

Northridge, Ca Salary Level 2: 73,900.00 - 110,900.00

Linthicum, MD Salary Level 2: 70,600.00 - 105,800.00

Tucson, Az Salary Level 2: 63,800.00 - 95,800.00

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
