EVM Smart Contract Engineer

Nibiru is looking for a EVM smart contract engineer who will lead large projects with long term impact on the business. They must be able to tackle complex engineering problems and set up processes/tooling to improve engineering team efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design & Develop: Write, test, and deploy smart contracts on Ethereum (and EVM-compatible chains).
  • Smart Contract Security: Implement robust testing frameworks, security best practices, and audits to ensure contract integrity.
  • Protocol Architecture: Collaborate with the product team to design and refine protocols, ensuring they meet high-performance and user-friendly standards.
  • Integration: Work with front-end developers, back-end services, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of smart contracts into our broader ecosystem.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest in Ethereum and DeFi standards, EIPs, and emerging trends, and propose relevant improvements to our architecture.
  • Documentation: Produce clear, concise documentation for internal and external developer use.


Technical Experience:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development, ideally within blockchain/crypto.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying production-grade smart contracts in Solidity.
  • Familiarity with Web3 tooling (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle, Remix, Foundry) and version control (Git).
  • Deep understanding of EVM, gas optimization, and how transactions are processed on-chain.
  • Knowledge of core Ethereum concepts like ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, etc.
