Overview:

Gracenote is an entertainment data and technology provider powering the world’s top music services, automakers, cable and satellite operators, and consumer electronics companies. At its core, Gracenote helps people find, discover, and connect with the entertainment they love. Daily, Gracenote processes 35 billion rows of data and is quickly becoming a world leader in return-path “big data.” Over the past 3 years, the company has grown to more than 2000 employees in 17 countries, including over 600 of the world’s top engineers with a passion for music, video, sports, and entertainment technology. Founded in 1998, Gracenote is one of America’s most iconic and respected media companies. 


The Gracenote Sports Content team keeps track of 3,000 leagues across 200 different sports. This data is delivered in multiple languages to media clients, international sports federations, and national sports governing bodies. Our live sports data can also be seen on smart TVs and in Automobiles.


We are currently looking for a Part-Time Live Data Production Editor to join our Sports Content team.


About The Role:


This role is responsible for our online video metadata, a key part of the Gracenote video data ingestion platform, consuming data from the digital catalogs of media outlets like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and iTunes and preparing that data for curation by Gracenote's editorial teams. Companies like Comcast, Google, and Apple rely on Gracenote video metadata to power their products for millions of customers around the globe.

 

Responsibilities:


• Live scoring of sports, including football, tennis, cricket and many more!

• Enter players and schedule information for upcoming competitions and matches.

• Process (historic) results of any of the 250 sports covered by Gracenote

• Expect to spend about 80% of your time on Live scoring of sports, including football, tennis, cricket, soccer, hockey etc.


Requirements/Qualifications:

 

• Must be a Graduate in any field

• Should be proficient in the English language and possess excellent writing and communication skills

• Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening and weekend shifts.

• The role is hybrid, so you must live near Nielsen’s office. Working from home is possible if an adequate workplace for working with live sports is available.

• Avid follower of one or more different sports.

• Excellent general sports knowledge.

• Able to deal with stress, time pressure, and able to make quick decisions.

• Able to identify reliable, accurate data from sources.

• Solid communication and time-management skills required

• Has excellent computer skills

• Able to work when sports are happening - evenings - nights - weekends.

• Has excellent written and verbal English skills.

• Quality-focused individuals with a high level of attention to detail.
