Robotics Software Engineer Intern

About The Team:

The Robotics and Controls Team at Noah Medical is dedicated to the development and implementation of safe and high quality control algorithms and software. Comprising seasoned engineers with backgrounds in healthcare and other safety-critical industries, we collaborate with clinical, product, and hardware design teams to deliver user-centric solutions. A Day In The Life Of Our Robotics Software Engineer Intern:

  • Develop robotics control algorithms in a real time software environment including unit testing
  • Design and implement tools for engineering development such as simulators and hardware testing infrastructure
  • Evaluate software features in clinical lab settings.
  • Diagnose and debug software issues throughout multiple domains (motion control, real time performance and more)
  • Provide and receive code reviews
  • Communicate with the product development team to create a safe, effective medical product

About You:

  • Enrolled in B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering speciality or any similar fields with an emphasis on robotics.
  • Strong development skills in modern C++ (and the desire to learn new techniques and tools)
  • Experience in object oriented programming
  • Experience in version control and unit testing with CI/CD. GoogleTest is a plus.
  • Proven hands-on experience in one or more of: robot manipulator kinematics, dynamics, feedback control, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced start-up with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and the determination to solve challenging problems.
  • Experience with software design patterns including state machines is a plus
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and building test automation setups in Python is a plus

Pay Transparency

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.

California Pay Range
$24$32 USD

Noah Medical may offer remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements within the state of California depending on the specific team and/or role where applicable.
