Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the Information Technology Systems Analyst will assist with IT operational plans in support of the Administration’s mission, business operations, and growth plan. This position will be the in-house MUNIS leader, a widely used ERP system for public sector organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing MUNIS modules, as well as providing technical support and training to end-users. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the system meets the organization's needs and complies with regulatory requirements.


Salary Range

$50,400-$78,735


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Addresses immediate technology needs of the Administration such as ensuring data integrity, business continuity and disaster recovery plan, operating system migration, mass storage, document retention policy, and security policies;
  • Provides advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in operational systems;
  • Supports the IT department with communications regarding IT plans, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the gathering processing, distribution and use of this information occurs in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner;
  • Analyzes computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions;
  • Lead all ERP implementations
  • Supports and maintains systems development and operations, hardware and software, networks, and databases;
  • Performs website maintenance and authorized design changes;
  • Supports the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the Administration;
  • Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware;
  • Supports a data security program to minimize the risk and probability of loss and disclosure to the lowest affordable level;
  • Supports the development, maintenance and testing of disaster recovery plans;
  • Delivers user basic training, demonstrative functionality of software;
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures;
  • Performs other duties as required


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems or related technology field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
  • Advanced knowledge of MUNIS System or similar ERP system strongly preferred
  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Analyst or similar role


Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Strong understanding of system analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in database management, network configuration, and system integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of IT security and compliance standards.


$50,400 - $78,735 a year

Salaries are determined by educational background and/or relevant years of experience.


Work Environment

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday; 

- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds rarely; 

- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals) rarely; 

- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely; 

- Normal setting for this job is an office/school setting.     


Performance Evaluation

The employee will be evaluated based on the above position using either two methods: via COMPASS or a NOLA-PS evaluating instrument. If the employee holds an Educational Leadership certification, he/she will be evaluated via COMPASS to ensure renewal of certification.
