Manufacturing Operations Manager

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED... Job Summary Upwardly mobile manufacturing professional who plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated product lines to ensure the cost, schedule, technical, gross margin and profitability goals or objectives are accomplished. Ensures the plans and performance of the organization are in consonance with the division and the Company. Develops and provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities • Key player in developing a culture of ownership, urgency and accountability within the division. Develops and coaches supervisors and leads with leadership disciplines, as well as important aspects and principles of high volume manufacturing. • Manages a multi-disciplined team for assigned product lines and is responsible for the complete cost, technical and schedule performance of these product lines. Participates in the proposal and contract negotiating team for all change activity. Responsible for all phases of product line after initial production demonstration to sustaining production. Acts as primary contact to program managers for product line activities and assists in leading product line review sessions to discuss cost, pricing, schedule and technical performance. • Implements processes using lean techniques to eliminate waste and improve process value in the short to mid-term. Leads or participates in preparation of business plans and work statements and development of technical and administrative specifications, and operating budgets. • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules. Identifies product line problems and develops methods to increase productivity, gross margin and profit. Directs the work of Stakeholders assigned to the product line from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. • Develops and manages the department’s budget including establishing staffing levels, overtime requirements and routine expenses. Recommends budget levels for department inventories and supplies. • Ensures the Company and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and procedures are followed. Maintains effective communications between all departments. • Reviews status reports for operational performance and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for customers, management and others as required. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment. Education Requirements Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. In an appropriate discipline. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement. Experience Requirements 8-10 year(s) Related experience and/or training. Supervisory/Management Experience year(s) 4 years Minimum Years of Experience year(s) Description The supervisory/management experience requirement is included in, not additional to, the overall experience requirements. year(s) Skills and Competencies • Communicates effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. • Develops, presents and manages product build plans to satisfy customer requirements and company cost goals to division personnel as well as senior leadership; takes ownership and drives Ops Ex and CI improvement initiatives. • Makes telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and makes formal presentations to small or large groups. • Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
