Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Supply Chain &Information TechnologyAbout the OpportunityThe D'Amore-McKim School of Business and Khoury College of ComputerSciences at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts inviteapplications for a joint tenure-track or tenured appointment at anyrank (Assistant/Associate/Full professor) starting in Fall 2025. Weseek outstanding faculty with expertise in Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Information Systems. The successful candidate will have aprimary appointment in the Supply Chain and Information ManagementGroup at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and a secondaryappointment in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences. Theposition will primarily be on the Boston campus but there is also apossibility of affiliations at other campuses within theNortheastern University network.This interdisciplinary appointment brings an unparallel opportunityto join a dynamic research environment that values effectivecollaborations across disciplines. We invite you to join a fast-moving, ambitious collegewith an underlying mission that is driven by our motto of “CS forEveryone.”Summary of ResponsibilitiesThe faculty member is expected to conduct high quality research andpublish in peer reviewed journals, teach information systems and AIcourses in both the Supply Chain and Information Management Groupand Khoury College depending on their assigned teaching load, andto participate in service activities in the group, college anduniversity level, depending on rank. Faculty in the rank ofassociate or full professor are expected to provide leadership oncurriculum and in different academic programs.Research (about 40%-50%)• Conduct research and publish work in peer reviewedjournals.• Present research work in respected conferences, which givevisibility to the faculty member's research as well as toNortheastern University. Present work at Northeastern Universityforums such as research seminars and research symposia• Participate in discipline specific research tasks such as adhoc reviewer, editorship, conference track chair, etc.Teaching (about 40%)• Teach assigned courses.• The teaching and course load will depend on the facultymember's rank and specialization/interests, as well as the needsand agreement between D'Amore-McKim School of Business and KhouryCollege.• Mentor and advise students on their academic and professionaldevelopment.• Engage in curriculum development and/or enhancement discussionsand activities.• Participate in departmental and college-level deliberations onprogram development and enhancements.Service (about 10%-20%)• Participate in faculty meetings in the Group and at collegelevel.• Provide service in the profession or discipline including adhoc reviewer, editorial roles, etc.• Serve on committees at the group, college or university leveldepending on rank.• Participate in advising and mentoring of student clubs andactivities such as case competitions, etc.Qualifications:Candidates are expected to hold a doctorate in Computer Science,Information Systems/Management, Operations/Supply Chain Management,or a closely related field by the employment start date. Academicrank at the Associate Professor and Full Professor levels will becommensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a recordof demonstrated teaching and scholarly excellence. For AssociateProfessor level appointments, 5 years of related experience isrequired by the employment start date. For Full Professor levelappointments, 7 years of related experience is required by theemployment start date. Candidates must have a commitment to workingwith diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse workand educational environments, and to promoting experientiallearning, which are central to a Northeastern UniversityEducation.Documents to Submit:Candidates are expected to hold a doctorate in Computer Science,Information Systems/Management, Operations/Supply Chain Management,or a closely related field by the employment start date. Academicrank at the Associate Professor and Full Professor levels will becommensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a recordof demonstrated teaching and scholarly excellence. For AssociateProfessor level appointments, 5 years of related experience isrequired by the employment start date.
