This is a campus basedposition.Minimum QualificationsRequired Education:Doctorate or equivalent terminal degreeDiscipline / Degree Area:Computer Science or equivalentRequired Specialized Training/Certifications:Applicants for an appointment at the Assistant Professor level musthave a Ph.D. from an accredited university at the time ofhire.Required Minimum Work Experience:Evidence of teaching experience at the collegiate or secondarylevel (e.g. a TA or instructor position).Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required forSatisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:Good communication skills.Potential for excellence in teaching a wide range of undergraduateand/or graduate Computer Science courses.Potential to be an active scholar in the field of ComputerScience.Additional Desirable QualificationsAdditional Desirable Qualifications:The involvement of undergraduates in research is encouraged.A willingness to serve outside the classroom in the form of studentmentoring, supervising graduate theses and projects, industryrelations, quality assessment or other related activities isdesired.Experience with computer science course development and/orcurriculum design is also desirable.Active teaching experience at the university level is preferablecompared to experience as a grader, tutor, consultant, orproctor.OtherSpecial Instructions to Applicants:Application materials will include a faculty application, coverletter, CV, unofficial transcripts, a statement of teachingphilosophy, and a statement of research philosophy.
