The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. The Senior Receptionist is Amazon’s face and voice to its clients and their guests when they come to campus.
A Senior Receptionist will be a resource for our frontline receptionists. Using their years of professional experience and knowledge they will help resolve any escalations, be the example of pro-active engagement and maintain the high quality of service we look to provide our guests. In this role, they will assist with a variety of administrative activities and tasks including greeting and checking in guests, distributing badges, providing resources to callers, and assisting with projects and audits.

Location: Seattle
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:20AM – 3:50PM and 9:35AM - 6:05PM (must have open availability to work both shifts as scheduled)
Wage: Starting Wage: $25.24 per hour | Full Wage Range: $25.24 - $30.04 per hour

Key responsibilities
- Be attentive and provide exceptional, professional customer service to Amazonians, clients, contractors, and visitors by phone, email or in person
- Act as the point of reference for guests & Amazon employees who need assistance or information and help resolve any escalations
- Will be responsible for overall operation of the front desk and front office activities including, but not limited the opening and/or closing of service locations
- Partner with Receptionist on multi-person desks
- Manage inventory at desks and communicate needs to Lead Receptionist.
- Responsible for building knowledge, and understanding current and future scheduled events/maintenance/and service provider locations
- Follow proper procedures to hang and maintain customer posters in all buildings ensuring a presentable environment at all times
- Support Banana Stand and Special Events as needed
Requirements
- Experience operating a front desk environment
- Positive, upbeat attitude and Excellent in-person customer service skills
- Must be reliable and punctual with excellent organizational skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to maintain composure and good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to potentially lift or carry items up to 50 pounds
- Requires travel to several Amazon buildings so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required
- The position requires standing and mobility around the campus for long periods of time up to the entire length of the shift
- Ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening
- This is a dog friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit
