Find what makes you Superpowered.Find your superpower with the Graduate Development Program  National Grid’s Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we’ll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one – putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you’ll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.Information Technology and Digital Graduate RotationsGraduates in our IT & Digital team will take part in an 18-month exploration. Your first 6-months will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following two broadening 6-month placements designed to provide you a breadth of experience within your functional area and accelerate your progression at National Grid. These placements will provide you with the opportunity to solve complex problems and focus on growth that will transform the energy sector as we know it.About the PositionAs an Associate Analyst within our Performance & Workforce Strategy team, you will have a pivotal role in supporting the development of the strategic agenda as it relates to performance, employee engagements, organization & people change management and workforce strategy. You will enjoy this role if you are passionate, creative, and intellectually curious team player and want to work within a fast-pace environment. You will have the opportunity to combine creativity with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.What You'll DoPerformance Reporting• Complete executive reporting on time to the quality required, being mindful of the audience (IT & Digital leadership, National Grid board, and CEO)• Work to maintain internal reporting dashboards, including regular data refresh and enhancements.• Support alignment on reporting templates and dates that support: Performance Contract, Executive Dashboards, Monthly Business ReviewsEngagement & Communications• Assist with planning meetings, DEI sessions, engagement activities, offsites, etc.• Partner with IT & Digital Communications & Engagement team for employee engagement & events for department: townhalls, brown bag lunches, emails, site safety visits, team calls.• Oversee the consolidation of SharePoint sites, ensuring consistent, standardized & meaningful content• Support the creation, communication and maintenance of IT&D new employee onboarding materialsOrganizational Change Management & Workforce Strategy• Support the creation and running of the Organizational Change Management Framework• Partner with teams to ensure practices are embedded in large transformational work with a high degree of impact to stakeholders• Create & maintain strategic workforce plan, providing regular updates to HR & Finance as required• Identify emerging trends and integrate forecasted need into IT & Digital Workforce Strategy• Partner with HR to ensure there is line of sight into IT & Digital forecasted need to establish appropriate talent acquisition and retention strategiesProject & Budget Management• Assist in the planning & reporting of projects and budgets. This includes, in coordination with finance, tracking, monitoring and reporting against budget to resolve any variance against targets.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution• Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025• Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025• Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy• Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)More InformationSalary RangeWaltham, Massachusetts $66,000 - $78,000 a yearPlease note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont.
