We are looking for a highly organized and hardworking Senior Audio/Visual Engineer to help us design and bring our biggest moments to life. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the audio/visual production field and demonstrate a commitment to providing a premier experience for our global audience.What You'll Be Doing:• Work alongside our creative and executive teams to fabricate our biggest stage and set ideas while reinforcing our global brand and AV standards with our production vendors.• Mediate between our AV production vendors and internal planning teams helping define specs and requirements for an outstanding production.• Bring a non-wasteful approach to our designs while being mindful of our budgets.• Design, set up and operate AV systems, including LED screens, audio systems, lighting, projection, and stage equipment to deliver extraordinary presentations and productions.• Ensure reliable operation of audio visual equipment throughout the duration of events, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise. Monitor, analyze, and solve issues regarding video, cameras, digital switchers, digital routers, digital video servers, character generators, automation, and digital routing with ability to step into core operator position as able / needed (eg. TD, PM, A1, V1, LD, EIC, broadcast engineer or show caller).• Apply experience of AV over IP protocols (Dante, MADI, AVB, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, etc.), different video standards, protocols, and various aspects of digital video (EDID management, resolutions, frame rates, sync, color depth, chroma subsampling, etc.), video streaming and delivery standards, codecs, protocols, etc. (RTMP, SRT, AV1, etc.).• Survey venues and provide guidance on event AV needs, identify equipment requirements, and plan exact position of equipment. Candidate will create drawings to ensure alignment.• Design, test, prep and operate audio visual infrastructure and HW with NVIDIA's newest technology and products.• With a team, maintain all NVIDIA owned AV equipment and conduct regular testing. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.• Management of 3rd Party vendors hired to support larger events.• Supervise union labor schedules, handle overtime/cutting crew as needed.• Lead collaborative discussions with internal events leads, business units and external vendors to accommodate our AV needs into event space.• Ensure the safe transfer and shipment of equipment.What We Need to See:• 8+ years of validated experience in the audio-visual field, including A/V installations involving equipment rack fabrication, LED design, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of control systems.• Associates degree or equivalent experience.• Understanding and operating experience with: Pixera, Christie Spyder x80/Spyder Studio, Barco (e2, S3, PDS-4K), VectorWorks/AutoCAD, familiarity with different LED processors (Megapixel Helios, Brompton Tessera, etc), and Blackmagic Design products.• Knowledge of lighting devices (Chamsys MQ70 consoles, Elation Lighting fixtures, etc)• Experience with CDN platforms (Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn, IBM Watson Video, Vimeo, etc)• Familiarity with vMix Live Production and streaming software• Shown professional communication and interpersonal skills; capable of balancing multiple projects at the same time under tight deadlines while remaining calm under strenuous circumstances.• Ability to travel up to 40% (local and international) for event setup, support and teardown (up to 14 day increments). Possess an active CA driver license (transportation of items to local events). Need to be able to lift/move objects in excess of 40 lbs on a frequent basis.• Experience working with union labor and understanding union rulesWays to Stand Out From the Crowd:• Training Certifications for A/V systems, including CTS-I, NSCA, or Cedia equivalent or additional certifications by a product manufacturer is a plus.The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
