GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs moderately complex, consultative, and technical assistance work in the Program Improvement section. Conducts compliance and performance reviews and prepares detailed reports of findings and recommendations. Assists and collaborates in the planning, development, and implementation of processes for the collection, preparation, and submittal of materials related to the security of client information. Assists in editing and drafting responses to request for program information.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Assists in conducting County Court Cost Reviews, Controlled Asset Reviews, Desk Reviews, and portions of the annual Self- Assessment Review and the Internal Revenue Service Safeguards Project to determine compliance with CSD, agency, state and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. May perform as project lead over one or more segments of a review.
Assists in the planning and development of compliance and performance review schedules by conferring with section leadership, agency management and staff. Assists in conducting portions of the sections risk assessments for assigned reviews as appropriate.
Communicates effectively and professionally during reviews or when collaborating with internal and external customers both in writing and verbally by use of phone, email, or video conferencing software.
Prepares reports for assigned reviews and maintains supporting documentation to fully support findings and recommendations. Assists in editing draft reviews of reports and written content submitted by other sections.
Assists in conducting special reviews and studies and analyzes operations and issues at the request of section management, division executives and managers.
Develops and regularly updates operating procedures related to assigned tasks and recommends changes to processes that can be streamlined or improved.
Provides technical assistance and training and responds and answers moderately complex questions from internal and external customers based on agency, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Performs related work as assigned
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: child support program, auditing, accounting, process or business analysis, or compliance or performance reviews
Experience: 3 years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: child support program, auditing, accounting, process or business analysis, or compliance or performance reviews
Knowledge of TXCSES
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective oral and written communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
Experience: Child support program
Knowledge: State and federal child support laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines and statistical sampling techniques
Skills: Word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, video conferencing, and data analysis software
Abilities: Produce and edit reports and gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and devise solutions to problems
