Active Directory Administrator

The Active Directory Administrator/Officer ensures availability and reliability of in maintaining the stability and performance of our IT systems. You will be responsible for administration of Active Directory/Group Policy and maintaining the servers and related components to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact our productions. The accountability list specific to the individual will be provided by the hiring manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Create/Delete, modify, and troubleshoot Group Policies
  • The Active Directory / Group Policy Administrator will support the day-to-day operations of multiple Active Directory Environments, to include proper functioning of the systems, the health of multiple forests, view logs, and troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • The Administrator will keep the Active Directory environment up to date with the latest Microsoft updates/patches.
  • Fulfills work requests and resolves issues presented to the team through our corporate Service Desk Management tool for work prioritization and tracking.
  • Identify and resolve incidents or problem within the target service level agreement (SLA)
  • Assess risks and provide controls or mitigations to come up actions that will lower the possibility of operational disruption garnered from monitoring systems, operational incidents, and other sources.
  • Reviews, identifies, and recommends enhancements to work processes, outputs and standard with other departments or sections within the group in accordance with best practices.
  • Adhere to the organization, information technology, and Security policies and quality procedures.
  • Monitors and ensures configuration items are updated.
  • Adhere to change management process and procedures.
  • Adhere to project timelines and ensure that statuses are up-to-date and executed and all processes required to complete tasks are followed correctly.
  • Manage operations and assists on projects related to systems integration supporting IT Services.
  • Consult and inform section/department manager regarding operational or project activities that requires attention such as incidents, needed resources, or information.
  • Participates on disaster recovery or business continuity planning, testing and execution.
  • Review, identify, and recommends processes with regards to disaster recovery or business continuity as part of the continuous improvement associated with planning, testing and execution.
  • Maintains backups and access to IT services related components.
  • Review, identify, and recommend processes with regards to COBIT framework as part of the continuous improvement associated with planning and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 4 years’ experience in an organization with a large level, 24x7, mission critical operations environment supporting enterprise systems.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex Active Directory problems, develop effective solutions, and work with teams to implement remedies.
  • Good verbal and written communication and listening skills; computer literate, detail oriented and meticulous, accounting-related technical skills and knowledge; basic program facilitation, presentation skills, knowledgeable in software development life cycle, knowledgeable in training needs analysis, conceptualizing training plan and assessment of training programs. Ensuring maximum efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility and responsiveness to the assessment, design and implementation.
