The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.

In Konecranes IT, Corporate Functions Cluster, we are responsible for developing and delivering IT solutions to support Finance, People and Management processes. We are excited to welcome a new team member, a Solution Architect, FI-CO who is motivated to actively contribute to digital transformation of Finance processes by providing information regarding IT solution capabilities and restrictions.

Chapter FI-CO Development is now looking for 2 new team members - Solution Architects with focus on FI-CO to strengthen our team (one for Finance and another for Controlling). 

As a Solution Architect you will be part of a ‘chapter team’, that includes people with similar competence background in concepting. You all work in different, virtual Scrum teams. All the chapter members are responsible for the development activities in their Scrum teams in close cooperation with the Product Owners and other Scrum team members.

As a Solution Architect you will identify and translate business needs into specifications which can be developed. You work with the Scrum team throughout the whole development process and ensure that the developed product remains within the concept scope and is compliant with the agreed acceptance criteria. You ensure the concept integrity throughout the lifecycle.

Work location: Finland or any KC locations within EU with time difference +- 2 hours with EET time zone.  

Your key responsibilities:

• Support the Product Owner, Business Analyst ,1KC Process Owners, Tribe and other stakeholders in capturing business needs and converting them to specifications.
• Ensures that KC ways of working in development (e.g. coding standards) are followed.
• You work with the Scrum team throughout the whole development process and ensure that the developed product remains within the concept scope and is compliant with the agreed acceptance criteria. You ensure the concept integrity throughout the lifecycle.
• Produce appropriate requirement documentation and related artefacts including User Stories, wire frames. Write use cases, create user journeys and scenarios.
• Act as a link between customer stakeholders, technology, delivery and support teams for requirements-related matters.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Concept Owners and other teams.
• Roadmap platform and technology in the respective area.
• Create corporate level guides and standards relevant for the technology.
• Provide release and deployment guidance.
• Coordination of technology relevant development activities across teams.
• Contribute to end-user satisfaction through good quality software and best practices.
• Drive vision and architectural alignment of the technology

The Solution Architect will report to Manager, Chapter FI-CO Development

What should you bring?

For this role, we are looking for a motivated team player who has a strong understanding of Finance processes (accounting, financial reporting, preferably also treasury and invoicing). Beneficial if you have also understanding of SAP Architecture and Integrations. To succeed, you need to be a tech-savvy person and experienced with accounting software, ideally you have background from SAP FICO module. We also expect you to have a degree in Finance, Computer Science or equivalent and several years of applicable experience from Finance domain (processes/solutions). Knowledge about S/4 HANA and agile methodologies is an advantage.

It’s also important that you have good negotiation and collaboration skills and you can facilitate discussions targeting at finding a common solution. The role requires fluency in English as well as an active and independent approach to work and ability to stay focused also under pressure. We also appreciate that you have experience in working with global projects in virtual, cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds.
