We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.The Principal Strategy Researcher OpportunityThe ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SaaS, cloud computing, and other technical enterprise software products. This role contributes to identifying and validating product expansion opportunities including adjacencies to customer identity. Through close partnership with the Auth0Lab (R&D) team, you will research, and validate potential product adjacencies with technical buyers (primarily developers), focusing on market viability. If you are passionate about driving product innovation and growth through strategic research and collaboration, we would love to hear from you.What You’ll Be DoingMarket Opportunity Identification• Conduct comprehensive technology and market research to identify and validate new feature/product opportunities• Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to pinpoint potential areas for growth and innovation.• Develop detailed market analysis reports and present findings to senior management and key stakeholders.Strategic Product Insights• Lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to validate market opportunities and inform product development strategies.• Utilize various research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis, to gather actionable insights.• Summarize and share insights with stakeholders inclusive of cross-functional leadership and executivesCollaboration with Auth0 Labs• Work closely with Auth0 Lab team to explore and investigate, s and validate product adjacencies to customer identity• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to guide the Auth0 Lab effortsWhat You’ll Bring To The Role• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product strategy, market research, or a related field.• Proven experience in the SaaS industry, cloud computing, or other technical software product sectors• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.• Proficient in market research tools and methodologies, as well as data analysis software.• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.• Strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative mindset.• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
