Mobile Software Engineer (Associate-Mid Level)

As part of the Payments team, reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a significant and visible role in helping us scale one of the most advanced food ordering platforms in the market. You will develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services across our ordering platform. While the main focus will be on our mobile SDKs, contributions are encouraged throughout our stack. You will be working on Olo Pay, an exciting product that is a driving force behind Olo’s future growth.


We aim to collaborate well. We encourage new ideas and experimentation. No part of the codebase is off-limits. We take pride in a neat codebase with automated tests and continuous integration and encourage constant refactoring. You'll work with a passionate team dedicated to delivering amazing products using modern technologies.


You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.


What You'll Do
  • Develop libraries, frameworks, and tools for mobile applications
  • Maintain and update library/framework documentation for developers
  • Write, test, and ship code to production
  • Spec projects based on product requirements and design mocks
  • Translate spec to technical tickets
  • Improve our technology and team
  • Review fellow team member's work through code review and RFCs
  • Co-create architecture and specs for various projects


What We'll Expect From You
  • 2+ years of cross-platform app development experience with at least one of: React Native, Flutter, Capacitor, or any other commonly used hybrid mobile app framework
  • and/or 2+ years of experience native mobile development experience with Native Android (Kotlin/Java) and/or Native iOS (Swift/Obj-c)
  • A willingness and desire to learn new languages and frameworks


Nice to Have
  • Experience with any of the following: Threading/Semaphores, CocoaPods/Carthage, Gradle/Maven, or Github Actions
  • Knowledge of GitFlow development process

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $105,436 - $151,163 annually, depending on the experience you bring and your location. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full total rewards offerings throughout the interview process.
