Onboarding Specialist

Have you been looking for the chance to use your expertise to make a real difference in an organization? MGX Equipment Services is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join our growing HR team!

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting multi-site business units with their onboarding and general HR administrative needs.

This position will be located in Shady Grove, PA, and reports to the HR Director for MGX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist the HR team with orientation preparation. This includes preparing onboarding packets, handbooks, and other essential items; scheduling new hire orientation and coordinating with facilitators.
  • May conduct new hire orientation on occasion.
  • Send welcome information to upcoming new hires and communicate start dates and other necessary information with hiring manager.
  • Enter new hire information into Oracle.
  • Process and audit all new hire paperwork and enter E-Verify cases.
  • Maintain I-9 documents and compliance with record keeping.
  • Create and maintain personnel files for all employees.
  • Assist in necessary distributions and mailings to facilities.
  • Communicate necessary employee announcements for new hires, promotions, terminations, etc.
  • Support employees with new hire benefits enrollment process.
  • Assist in the offboarding of employees and close-out of personnel files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • High School Diploma required with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an HR administrative role.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with HRIS systems required; Oracle preferred.
  • Must possess strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as listening and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and comfortable with speaking in front of groups of 5 to 30 people.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and comply with data privacy requirements.
  • This position will be located in a normal office setting with exposure to factory areas as required. May be required to work extended hours.
