Job Description:

As a Jr. SEO Local Specialist, you will play a key role in boosting our clients' local online presence. Your primary responsibility will be the setup, management, and optimization of Google My Business (GMB) profiles and a set of local websites across a wide variety of industries. You’ll ensure that each client’s website and GMB listing is fully optimized for maximum visibility and engagement, helping them attract local customers through accurate, relevant, and updated information. Responsibilities

• Google My Business Setup & Optimization: Create, claim, verify, and fully optimize Google My Business profiles for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Profile Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain GMB profiles, ensuring business details such as operating hours, addresses, photos, and services are accurate and current.
• Local SEO Strategy Execution: Implement localized SEO best practices, including NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency, keyword optimization, and geo-targeted strategies to improve local search rankings.
• Reputation Management: Monitor and respond to reviews, Q&A, and customer feedback on GMB, ensuring professional and timely engagement to improve client reputation.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze GMB insights and performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations to enhance client visibility. Prepare periodic reports showing improvements in traffic, engagement, and local search rankings.
• Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all GMB listings adhere to Google's guidelines and are optimized using the latest best practices for local SEO.
• Collaboration with the Dev Team: Assist in executing broader SEO initiatives, including on-page and off-page strategies, local citations, and link-building efforts and overall features that can build into the product to improve our merchants’s online exposure.
• Research & Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in local SEO, GMB updates, and algorithm changes to continuously improve optimization strategies.

• Experience: 1-2 years of SEO experience with a strong focus on local SEO. Hands-on experience with Google My Business is essential.
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of local SEO best practices and ranking factors, including the optimization of GMB profiles, local citations, and geo-targeting. Familiarity with GMB tools, SEO tools (e.g., Moz Local, BrightLocal), and Google platforms (Analytics, Search Console) is a plus.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain SEO strategies and performance metrics to clients and team members.
• Detail-Oriented & Organized: Meticulous attention to detail when setting up, optimizing, and maintaining profiles. Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues impacting local search performance and propose creative, data-driven solutions.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic, results-oriented work environment.
• Ability to work on-site and full-time
• Advanced level of English and Spanish

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with other local search platforms like Bing Places, Apple Maps, and Yelp.
• Experience with citation management or local SEO tools such as Yext, Whitespark, or BrightLocal.
• Basic knowledge of on-page SEO, schema markup for local SEO, or mobile-first optimization techniques.
