Product Manager, New Product Exploration

Our team brings OpenAI’s new model capabilities into the world by exploring new product surfaces in parallel with our research work. We believe that as model capabilities keep leveling up, so needs our product.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to work closely with our research, engineering and design teams to bring early model capabilities into new and existing products. The ideal candidate is a zero-to-one visionary with a strong entrepreneurial bent who is passionate about introducing AI to the world through new product offerings. 

This position is based in San Francisco, CA. We utilize a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

• Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge research by crafting the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution to advance new products.

• Convert user feedback into detailed product requirements, narratives, and technical specifications.

• Use data to better understand user needs and guide future product development.

• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including teams in research, product design, and engineering to quickly bring products to users.

You might thrive in this role if you:

• Have 6+ years of product management or related industry experience.

• Obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.

• Have proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.

• Enjoy building 0-1 products from the ground up.

• Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.
