OpenGov is looking for a Legal Intern to join our Legal Team! The Legal Intern role is paid, summer internship located in San Francisco on a hybrid basis. The program offers a great opportunity to current law school students looking to develop their legal skills while working on an in-house Legal Team.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting and reviewing, SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, and templates.
• Entry of sales contracts into the CRM.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify business process opportunities and drive to closure.
• Perform legal research and document key findings.
• Improve current policies, procedures, and workflows in the Legal Team.
Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a J.D at an accredited law school.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Must be in the office at least three days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Coursework or experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Great attention to detail.
• Team player who is always willing to jump in to help others as needed.
• Acts with diplomacy, discretion, integrity and reliability.
• Positive demeanor and a good sense of humor.
• Ability to self-start and work independently.
• Desire to take on greater responsibilities as skills are developed.
• Do what you say you will do.
• Demonstrate passion for OpenGov’s mission of powering a more effective and accountable government.
Additional Details:
• There is a requirement to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
• The role pays $19 per hour.
