Carestream EPT Rules

Carestream, in compliance with EPT Rules is offering a very competitive salary of $121,000 to $175,000 annually depending on experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities. Position Summary:

The Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for the execution of Lean Six Sigma business process improvement within Carestream’s global footprint. This role will focus on practical application of toolkits and methodologies into both business processes and manufacturing settings at Carestream to achieve quality and efficiency improvement. This is a hands-on role working with many disciplines to proactively seek and execute improvement opportunities through business case analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead/Facilitate business Value Stream Mapping to define business process continuous improvement (CI) roadmaps.

Lead/Facilitate/Coach kaizen events established from business CI roadmaps, PDM priorities, etc.

Operations Excellence materials development/expansion/improvement, delivery of training, administration of kaizen process.

Coach in use of Lean/ CI tools. Ensure utilization of the proper problem-solving methodology and toolset in CI work execution.

Ensure CI work supports overall business strategy and establish/implement performance metrics for event/project success.

Serves as a technical lean expert, providing recommendations, interacting, and influencing the organization on lean approaches.

Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.

Required Skills & Education:

1) BS degree required (technical background strongly preferred).

2) 7+ years’ experience leading deployment of Operational Excellence initiatives – Lean Six Sigma – in business process, transactional lean or manufacturing environments.

3) Must have a 6-Sigma Black Belt and Continuous Improvement training and certifications (Lean, Toyota Production System, etc.). Facilitator and implementation Kaizen exp.

4) Must be willing and able to travel between 50% and 75% of the time (near major airport strongly preferred).

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced problem solving and project management skills
  • Previous experience in leading Operational Excellence initiatives in business process and manufacturing sites
  • Experience building analytics/applications for non-manufacturing, service, and manufacturing environments experience
  • Demonstrated execution of operational strategy with linkages to performance of day-to-day operations and P&L impact
  • Demonstrated high-performance levels and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Minitab, Visio)
  • Strong team skills, willing to passionately roll up sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done
