Operational Excellence Specialist – Process Documentation- Fully Remote

Duties and responsibilities

As a key member of our Operational Excellence team, you will:

• Be customer obsessed, and strive every day to deliver a world class customer and employee experience by focusing on improving each aspect of customer and employee interactions
• Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency across our >600 branches, by identifying and generating innovative ideas related to delivery of these improvements. -
• Work closely with leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand processes and best practices and those changes created by the implementation of the new equipment and process for branch operations
• Works with cross functional teams to analyze information required for the development or update of existing procedures and form documentation.
• Support development of training materials by determining the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest user comprehension.

• Experience with technical writing, business process improvement, workflow mapping, user guide and training development
• Demonstrated track record for delivering against business objectives
• People oriented, and continuously take a high-energy, data driven approach to solving complex problems

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of experience with contemporary style guides, such as Associated Press style, and experienced with proof-reading and editing all types of documentation, including technical material.
• Fluency in technical and common office software.
• Additional Considerations:
  • Experience in distribution and / or retail organization
  • Knowledge of Retail, Distribution, and Support department functional roles, terms, and their detailed operating processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of B2B customer strategy for store/field operations
  • Wholesale Distribution experience
