Operations Lead

Responsibilities:

We're looking for an amazing leader and builder for our core user-facing Operations teams. These teams include dedicated Registered Nurses whose functions are to speak with Talent (nurses using our service to find their next job), help them understand our platform, ensure their profiles are accurate and complete, evaluate job offers, prepare for interviews, and provide them with an exceptional experience on our platform as they conduct their job search with our software.

You will help these teams be successful by being an exceptional people manager and people developer, establishing short- and long-term strategy for the function, developing standards to ensure operational quality and consistency, and expanding the size of the team to keep up with and stay ahead of high growth.

  • Be an incredible leader for a growing team of RNs (expected to be at 100+ by December 2022) by inspiring, retaining, and helping them achieve maximum success and identifying opportunities for their individual growth.
  • Identify problems, investigate them, and create solutions by collaborating with other teams, including new processes and new software automation.
  • Develop the entry level management talent in your team to ensure their success in effectively leading their teams.
  • Train and develop your direct reports, who are managers of various Operations teams.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities to increase the quality and efficiency of team throughput.
  • Create the function's short- and long-term strategy and goals.
  • Define the people, system requirements, and success metrics to ensure these goals are achieved.
  • Grow the size of the team to keep pace with our growing number of employers seeking nurse talent.
  • Serve as an Operations subject matter expert to the team and organization.
  • Be an early leader in a fast-growing Operations organization and manage key operational quality, efficiency, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with other Directors on the team and the Head of Operations to enable rapid scale of the business.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders in customer success, product, engineering, analytics, and marketing (to name a few) and the senior leadership team.
  • Report directly to the Head of Operations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • 4+ years of operations experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-growth technology startup environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically while also maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Empathetic and energetic leadership.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented working style with the ability to work independently and make decisions when needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tons of processes, tools, and standards.
  • Willingness and deep desire to learn.
  • Ability to engage a broad set of internal stakeholders and create buy-in.
  • SQL experience required.
  • A "can-do" attitude and no hesitancy to roll up your sleeves and get a task done, regardless of role or title.
