Operations Manager - Assembly

We have an excellent opportunity to hire an Operations Manager for Assembly at our Badger Drive Facility in Waukesha, WI. Relocation assistance will be provided!


The expected annual salary range for this role is $116,250 - $140,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

As an Operations Manager for Assembly, you will ensure timely delivery of shipments that meet cost and quality standards. You'll manage the total plant operations and schedules to ensure the most effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and other company resources.



In this role, you will:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans to support plant and division sales and inventory objectives.
  • Plan and direct the manufacturing of plant project orders through the production cycle and the support and maintenance functions related to production activities.
  • Develop the plant systems, operating schedules, and workloads to ensure the most effective and timely use of production equipment and personnel.
  • Plan and manage training, instruction, and guidance to all plant supervision and other employees as needed.
  • Plan and oversee capital equipment programs for manufacturing, facilities, and information systems.
  • Remain knowledgeable of required personnel related policies and procedures of the company and take action necessary to ensure adherence with required policies, etc.
  • Execute and support ELSS projects
  • Develop and implement effective safety and environmental programs for the facility

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • At least seven (7) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment developing and leading strategic business initiatives and projects to improve productivity, quality, inventory, and financial targets


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or MBA
  • Experience working in an Engineered-to-Order environment

Skills:

Position Criteria:
  • Significant experience in day to day process improvement systems
  • Experience with positive employee relations policies and programs
  • Strong customer and interpersonal skills
