Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Environment, Safety, Health & Quality (ESH&Q) group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Operations Staff Support for Criticality and Nuclear Safety.

Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule located at our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Criticality and Nuclear Safety Program procedures, processes, and technical documents.
  • Provide technical review and editing of Nuclear Safety deliverables (e.g. Engineering and Analysis Calculation Reports).
  • Provide training, as directed by Nuclear Safety Program management.
  • Support maintenance of and perform USQ reviews for Lab-wide Safety Analysis Report (SAR)/Technical Safety Requirement (TSR).
QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science plus and 5 - 8+ years relevant experience or Masters of Science and 3 - 6+ years relevant experience or 13 - 16+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in nuclear facility operations and execution of the unreviewed safety question (USQ) process.
  • Relevant experience in providing training, procedure writing.

  • PR0300: Salary Grade 200 ($81,288 - $134,100)/ PR0400: Salary Grade 210 ($93,492 - $154,212)

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
