Operations Supervisor

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete all safety training, training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines.
• Have extensive knowledge and understanding of NOV quality policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace instructions.
• Have extensive working knowledge of downhole equipment operations and procedures.
• Provide guidance and leadership.
• Delegates sub-tasks to all direct reports.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on new order requirements and status of existing orders.
• Liaise with company representative and coordinator with field personnel to ensure equipment and personnel are mobilized as required.
• Assist with competency standards and training plans.
• Assist with setting out, tracking, analyzing & reporting KPI’s and continuously measure progress to plan.
• Submit reports when required to the Operations Manager.
• Hold operational meetings.
• Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV.
• Assist with actions relating to operational NCR’s.
• Assist with quality (ISO, API) and HSE audits relating to operations.
• Reviews and verifies job calculations and schematics for well operations.
• Prepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for wellsite operations.
• Ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems.
• Perform employee performance reviews.
• Assist with setting out yearly employee goals and objectives.
• Perform client interface duties as required.
• Required to be available on a 24-hour call basis as needed.
• Ensure employee compliance to all NOV and local HSE requirements through supervision.
• Show willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks as instructed by the General Manager.
• Must consistently identify and implement improvements to the workshop and process flow as is appropriate.
• Report any unsafe activities or injuries to HSE Manager immediately and immediate manager.
• Be aware of your responsibilities, accountabilities, tasks, and goals for health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Work assignments are to be carried out to the highest quality level.
