Job DescriptionThe NetSuite global events team is made up of results driven marketers who deliver world-class experiences. We are looking for a strategic leader who will be responsible for creating and delivering programs that drive new pipeline and progress existing pipeline.This includes, but is not limited to, venue selection, budgeting, marketing communications, social media promotion, content management, and vendor management. The Director, Global Events is responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of a team of events specialists. Must be able to analyze results and translate into future program enhancements. Previous event marketing experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills and effective written and verbal communication skills desired.ResponsibilitiesManages a team of events specialists in support of objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of NetSuite marketing events globally. Held accountable to map events to influenced and direct pipeline. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Participates in development of objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events. Manages and executes projects and marketing plans intended to maximize company exposure. Works with internal/external resources to obtain needed materials and services. Manages relationships with outside vendors. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Software business management experience, and Marketing experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 5 - 7 years previous people management experience. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desirable.
