Toxicity Data Scientist

**Overview:** The EPA National Student Services Contract is seeking a full-time Toxicity Data Scientist to support research efforts in the Office of Research and Development at the EPA facility in Research Triangle Park, NC. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and provide data management, analysis, and annotation support for the ToxCast program. **Responsibilities:**As a team member, you will:• Support research efforts developing new computational tools and providing quantitative analysis for improving environmental risk assessments and regulatory decisions• Integrate knowledge of biology with data science to provide data management, analysis, and annotation support for the ToxCast program• Provide data wrangling, data analysis, data curation, database scripting, code library and file management, and quality control activities• Apply innovative data science solutions to complex data sets• Communicate results to stakeholders through data visualizations and reports• Present work to internal reports and may have the opportunity to present at scientific conferences or contribute to scientific manuscripts• *Qualifications:**• Be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States of America or a Legal Permanent Resident• Have earned at least a Master's degree in biology, chemistry, toxicology, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, including training or coursework in statistics or computer programming from an accredited university or college within the last 24 months• *Benefits:**• Full-time position with an hourly wage of $32.01 for hours worked• Opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and contribute to cutting-edge research• Possibility of presenting work at scientific conferences or contributing to scientific manuscripts• Location in Research Triangle Park, NC
