Engineering @ OMG

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a growing development team and directly impact the development process and our culture. We are building our platform with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Node, React, Next.JS, Go, PHP, and other exciting technologies — we believe in picking the right tool for the job.

Please note this is a hybrid role of at least 2 days/week in our Dallas office.

Day in the Life

You will work closely with all teams to understand needs, assist in refining requests, and contribute to planning and implementation with other engineers.
You will build and implement complete features with the team from back to front, covering a full stack.
You will contribute ideas and provide input to the technical direction of our platform, learning from and supporting the team in decision-making processes.
You will proactively solve problems and work efficiently, seeking feedback and guidance.

What You Need

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
You should have 3 - 5 years of experience building web apps. We will be most interested in seeing what you've built.
Experience with the above-listed technologies is a plus, but most important to us is the ability to quickly pick up new tools and languages and the proven desire to do so.
Someone who is eager to ask a lot of questions and is more likely to ask for help and collaborate than go at it alone.
Track record of solving problems and owning your vision.
Detail-oriented and willing to own an outcome and run with it without somebody telling you exactly how to get there.
A scrappy, get-stuff-done attitude that completes high-quality projects quickly.
Experience in eCommerce is a plus.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
