Outreach Migrant Educator

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES INCLUDING LEVEL OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:

• Assess the needs of Out of School Youth through home contact virtually (or in-person following safety guidelines)
• Provide individualized instruction using virtual platforms (or in-person following safety guidelines) in ENL, TASC, skills or Life Skills to students who are not attending school
• Organize and implement enrichment activities for language development following safety guidelines
• Support students to develop skills for self-advocacy
• Attend Professional Development meetings and training to coordinate services and increase skills
• Maintain all required records such as services provided, student assessment data, student learning plans, etc..
• Make appropriate referrals to community agencies and service providers as needed
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director.

Required Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English-Spanish)
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work successfully with a culturally diverse population
• Ability to work independently as will as part of a team.
• Post secondary education

Preferred Qualifications: * B. S. Degree

• Teaching Experience
• Experience working with farm workers
