Paint Kitchen Operator- 2nd and 3rd Shifts

We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Paint Kitchen Operator (2nd and 3rd Shifts) (pay starting at $18.50) for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.

• Evaluate daily paint schedule and assure needed material is ordered from inventory
• Mix material by procedure (shaker, blend, mix, label, strain)
• Deliver mixed paint buckets to the appropriate mini system to the schedule
• Flush and load the mini systems as needed
• Maintain material in the mini systems while booth is painting
• Keep mini systems operational and clean
• Assure no material is in the Kitchens that is not released by Quality
• Maintain an orderly inventory of mixed and raw material
• Follow daily / weekly check sheets and filter changes as scheduled
• Maintain acceptable level of material in all bulk tank system
• Maintain all required check sheets and logbooks.

• Perform the bulk tank flush as scheduled
• Keep all equipment and areas clean
• Assure all safety equipment is in place, operational and being used as required
• Assure all Hazardous waste (solid and liquid) is stored and handled correctly
• Assure all material is maintained at proper viscosity and temperature as specified
• Frequent lifting of material buckets weighing approximately 50 pounds is required.
• Controlling large drums of material on transport dolly is required.

• Setup small batch systems according minisystem schedule
• Prepare paint materials according mixing instructions
• Verify proper operation of large and small bulk systems

• Must have basic knowledge of the LAWI system
• Must have basic knowledge of Excel
• Ability to obtain a forklift license for moving of paints from storage area to the kitchen
• Ability to work any shift (overtime required)
