Overview:
Pay Rate: $19/Hr.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the preparation and application of paint and related coatings and wall coverings to interior and exterior surfaces of on and off-site locations of the facility.
Responsible for performing necessary skills and demonstrating knowledge relating to the painting field to ensure the property is maintained to provide a positive guest experience.
Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.-
Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures on all Seminole Casino Coconut Creek properties using brushes, rollers, high and low volume spray equipment.

Applies paint with cloth, brush, sponge, fingers or plastic to create special effects. Simulates wood grain, marble, brick tile or other specialty effects.

Smoothes surfaces and removes old paint from surfaces for painting; prepares surfaces as appropriate and cost effective; fills voids with putty type filler; removes and replaces wall fixtures.

Selects premixed paints, color matches or mixes required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.

Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.

Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in good, clean, operating order.

Interacts with internal departments to coordinate work flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in preparing various surfaces for paint, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Applying paint using brushes, rollers and sprayers. Must be able to mix and match colors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Routine standing and walking, frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and carrying/handling/moving weights of up to 75 pounds is required.
