We are looking for a part-time Application Security Lead who possesses expertise as a cybersecurity leader, excelling in adaptive management, clear communication, strategic planning and execution, risk management, seamless integration of cybersecurity with business strategy, and the cultivation of positive stakeholder relationships. The fractional Application Security Lead at Panoptyc would play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring data protection, and managing risks associated with the company's rapid expansion. Our ideal fractional Application Security Lead must be available on an as-needed basis, dedicating several hours per week.
Has extensive experience in the following:
Cybersecurity strategy development
Compliance, risk and governance strategy development
Security awareness training
Data security oversight
Identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on security program performance
IT Management remediation plans
Incident response preparedness and annual incident response table-top exercise
Center for Internet Security (CIS) framework implementation
Collaborate with key organizational leadership at Panoptyc to formalize cybersecurity policies, ensuring alignment with the company's goals
Implement technical solutions to effectively mitigate cyber risks in the context of Panoptyc's operations
Validate and enhance existing cybersecurity programs to provide the organization with an optimal level of protection in today's dynamic cyber landscape
Act as a trusted security advisor, offering insights and guidance on cybersecurity matters
Review and optimize current policies, controls, and security toolsets to ensure they meet the specific needs of operations
Oversee monitoring and reporting processes to maintain ongoing visibility and control over cybersecurity measures
Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related discipline
Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity, reflecting a deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends
Showcase expertise in managing cybersecurity programs, emphasizing practical experience with incident response and the implementation of security controls
