Job Description

Your Role As a HealthStreamer

Reporting to the Company’s General Counsel, the Paralegal will pay an integral role in providing support to the business and legal department with regard to a wide range of the Company’s legal initiatives. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management: Assist in the management and maintenance of contracts, including tracking deadlines, reviewing contract terms, and coordinating contract execution and renewal processes.

2. Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, memos, correspondence, and other legal instruments. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of these documents with legal requirements and organizational policies.

3. Compliance Assistance: Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files, databases, and records, Ensure proper filing and indexing of legal documents for easy retrieval and reference.

5. Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders across various departments to gather information, provide legal guidance, and address legal inquiries. Collaborate with external parties, including outside counsel, vendors, and regulatory agencies, as needed.

6. Training and Education: Provide training on existing contract principles for all parties involved in the customer contract process, including new hires; this may take the form of webinars, internal e-mail distributions or other means that are necessary or appropriate.

7. Stay Updated: Continuously monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact the organization. Provide updates and recommendations to the legal team as appropriate.

8. Other related duties and administrative tasks as necessary or appropriate

What You Will Need to Be Successful

Education, Experience, and Knowledge Required

• Paralegal certification or equivalent required

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• 5-10 years’ of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience in contract management, procurement, and/or legal

• Training experience preferred

• Software industry and/or Healthcare IT experience preferred

Skills and Abilities Required

• Salesforce experience preferred but not required

• Must demonstrate good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions based on available data

• Coordinates resources and activities as needed to achieve deadlines and results

• Must possess the skillset to collaborate openly and effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment for optimal success

• Experience with oversight of healthcare contracts preferred

• Familiarity with software licensing models and industry-specific contract requirements preferred

• Strong ability to set and maintain prioritized activities while keeping all stakeholders well informed through the entire process.

• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and to re-prioritize tasks as needed to best enable the business.

• Independent worker and contributor in a team setting
