Scoot Education partners with public, private and charter schools across Los Angeles County, for their staffing needs. We have opportunities for experienced (or inexperienced) educators eager to fill the critical role of a paraprofessional in classrooms in and around Santa Clarita. We have vacancies with our partner school networks for ongoing long-term positions for the upcoming 23/24 school year, starting over the summer as soon as the beginning of July.

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support resource teacher(s) in deliver IEP's (individual education plans)
• Follow direction from, and assist lead educators

At Scoot, we support you by:

• Listening to your needs and preferences before matching you with assignments
• Providing you your very own designated Scoot consultant - most of our consultants used to be educators so they can advise based on their experience
• Doing 1:1 check-ins and discussing school feedback with you, positive and constructive

You’ll stand out if you have:

• Experience working in K-12 schools
• Spent time in special education settings
• Any SpEd-specific training
• ABA experience (applied behavior analysis)

Application requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits
• Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
• Background Check (we'll cover the cost of this!)
• TB risk assessment within 90 days
