Sales Development Representative

Parkade's mission is to reshape cities and combat climate change by creating a world with far less parking. We build software that offices and apartment complexes use to digitize parking management, moving off spreadsheets and stickers to using mobile/web apps to offer self-serve parking management to their tenants.

We've hit product-market fit, with hundreds of customers around the globe. After Parkade’s founder/CEO sold our first 75 customers himself, the first three members of our sales team have done the heavy lifting of figuring out how to create a repeatable sales process over the last year.

Now, we're looking to scale the team and hire our second SDR, and that's where you come in! You'll work closely with our early sales team members to hit the ground running, network into the world of multi-family and office buildings and convince them to modernize their parking.

Job description

Sales Development Representatives are key members of our sales team and the first impression our client has of Parkade. They are fearless. They work hard to qualify leads and book meetings that fuel sales pipeline growth for our team of Account Executives.  You will speak with inbound leads that reach out to Parkade and prospect cold leads via email, phone, conferences and in-person visits. 

You’ll constantly iterate on your talk track, your cold outbound strategy and how you qualify deals. As an early team member, you’ll also have plenty of face time with every other department in the company, as well as the founding leadership team.

More specifically, you’ll:

  • Learn Parkade's product and vision inside and out, master our value props, understand the objections you'll get, and identify product gaps we should improve to help our team close more sales

  • Get to know the world of property managers (if you don’t already), understand their role, how they manage parking today and how Parkade can capture the opportunity.

  • Make foundational decisions about how sales development should work at Parkade — working hand in hand with our senior sales leaders to do things like designing our outbound strategy, crafting our outbound sequences to match personas, or developing a top notch inbound qualification process. 

  • Prospect for leads through whatever channels work best for you (phone, email, conferences, social, etc).

  • Identify and adopt cutting-edge technologies that help you get the job done better.

About you

  • Hustle. Everyone knows about your high-caliber work ethic, and it’s helped keep you a step above the rest. You don't mind picking up the phone to make a cold call or dropping into an apartment building to gather info on their parking.

  • Communication. Your communication skills are top-notch. You can write fast, clearly, and with impeccable grammar that makes your written communication shine. You have a high EQ, and are able to clearly communicate with your colleagues. 

  • Attentiveness. You have incredible attention to detail and extremely strong organizational skills. You also know how to listen to customers, and don’t just talk. 

  • Attitude. You are a go-getter who thrives on winning. You are curious, confident, and receptive to feedback because it makes you better at winning. 

  • Team player. You thrive in team environments, balancing your competitive nature with your love of supporting others. You understand and demonstrate, in many ways, that the team winning is more important than you winning.

  • Experience. You have at least 1 year of sales development experience in a fast paced, hands on environment and a track record for exceeding your goals. 

Bonus points

  • Recent startup experience, with a track record of hitting your goals, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to step outside of your job description

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM

  • Experience with high touch outbound sales development

  • A background in parking, real estate and/or property management

  • Passionate about changing the built world, and creating a safer, greener, more affordable world that doesn't have vastly too much parking

Compensation

Base compensation and commission potential for this role can be seen in the job post. Commission is paid quarterly based directly off of qualified meetings. There is currently no cap.
