Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Ameriprise – The Woodlands, TX – Kristin L. Young & Associates is seeking a part-time (roughly 30 hours per week) entry level Administrative Assistant to join our innovative and dynamic team. Step into an instrumental role with high growth potential. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.

Job Purpose:

This position allows the advisors to focus more energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships. The administrative assistant supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. The administrative assistant gives the advisors the assurance they need to know that their practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Scheduling meetings and preparing agendas/forms for appointments
  • Preparing client presentations
  • Client communication including appointment reminder calls, check-in’s and following up on items
  • Tracking new business
  • Customer service
  • Assisting clients with website and or online access
  • Sending meeting confirmations
  • Maintaining client management system
  • Assisting with social media
  • Filing, mailing, and faxing
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Sending out client touchpoints and birthday/holiday cards
  • Other duties assigned by the advisor


Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience, ideally in the financial services industry
  • Pleasant, professional, and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player
  • Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
  • Efficient time manager
  • Highly proficient with in Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in Salesforce is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
  • Desire to grow and learn within the practice

Salary and Benefits:

  • $20 - $25 per hour commensurate with experience
  • No benefits provided
