The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati has been helping our neighbors in need for more than 150 years. We work with those in need, regardless of race or creed, to bridge the gaps in their lives. We provide home visits by neighborhood-based volunteers and produce groundbreaking initiatives like our Charitable Pharmacy and Homelessness Prevention Program. We also have a network of 13 food pantries, eight thrift stores across Hamilton County and offer numerous other programs and partnerships.

Reports To: Pharmacy Operations Manager
Hours: Full-time, non-exempt; typical hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay/Benefits: $17/hour to $20/hour, health insurance, 401k
Scope of Position: The Patient Advocate is a non-clinical position that is essential to the mission of providing free prescription medication to low-income neighbors in need. This position assesses and determines eligibility for patients certifying into the Charitable Pharmacy program. Functions include scheduling, intake, eligibility review, social determinants of health screenings, documentation for audit preparedness, and training and oversight of volunteers.
Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong organizational, attention to detail, interpersonal, written and oral communication; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with databases and data management. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting.
Work Environment: Staff member will primarily work in an office environment, adequately lighted, heated and ventilated at multiple locations within Greater Cincinnati.
Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, bending, carrying items up to 35 lbs., driving an automobile
