Summary:
Greets, instructs, directs, schedules, registers, and performs check-in duties for patients. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Establish and maintain a positive attitude with patients, visitors, and fellow employees by helping each other in areas when needed. Demonstrates knowledge of the age-specific competencies and the skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and demographic served. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients, employees, medical office staff, visitors, and the public
Position Summary: Position Summary: Capable of handling 100+ calls/day, assistance with scheduling office/lab/nurse appointment and detailed message taking based on providers written protocols, multitasking between offices/providers protocols. Understanding of insurances and referrals needed. Ability to use independent thinking to determine urgent vs routine matters to be addressed.
Required Qualifications: Call Center/Front Desk experience preferred: High school diploma required. Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers. Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to us independent thinking, sound judgement and creativity when resolving customer issues. Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle challenging situations. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to use personal commuters and select software applications.
Requirements:
High School graduate or GED.
Prefer 3 years work experience, preferably in medical office setting or hospital.
Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
Microsoft Office experience such as Outlook, Word, Excel; preferably experience on an electronic medical record.
