We are looking for a Data Scientist to help grow onsemi’s Advanced Analytics capabilities. This is an opportunity to impact a growing, $8B+ enterprise that recognizes the need to leverage modern data technologies and methods to help solve critical business problems. You will join a team responsible for advanced analytics and data science across all business functions in the company including Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Product Lines.

You will work with other Data Scientists and Analysts through all phases of the Data Science life cycle: problem definition, exploratory analysis, model creation, validation, deployment, monitoring and performance measurement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute all aspects of the Data Science process using Python and various services available in Microsoft Azure (Azure ML, Databricks) and Snowflake:

o Query and clean datasets
o Explore datasets and make observations
o Feature engineering, model selection
o Model tuning, model validation
o Deployment using cloud services
o Monitoring performance and drift

• Improve risk analysis simulations using existing predictive models and Monte Carlo simulations.

• Build dashboards in Tableau to help Data Scientists and Analysts solve problems in their areas.

Qualifications

• 
  Completed a degree in data science, business analytics, engineering, artificial intelligence, information systems, applied/traditional statistics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Scientist preferably in business operations areas like Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain or Manufacturing.

• Experience with data frames, pandas and data cleansing in Python or similar languages.

• Experience with SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases.

• Experience with software development practices like unit tests, Git, CICD.

• Familiarity with modeling techniques like logistic regression, decision trees, time-series forecasting, deep-learning, and computer vision.

• Familiarity with probability distributions and risk analysis simulation techniques like Monte Carlo.

• Familiarity with Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, search indexes and chatbots.
