Remote Patient Support Nurse RN

Amplity Health has an opportunity for a remote virtual Patient Support Nurse. Working as an Amplity employee on behalf of one of our pharmaceutical clients you will be part of a growing team. This will be a fully remote role. Nurses based in the in the Willingness to cover all time zones needed.
Position Summary:
Patient Support Nurses are remote virtual nurses responsible for coordinating and delivering education, information, and resources in a compliant manner, supporting the patient and their experience with the product/ programs. They also help to limit barriers that may hinder the program or patient outcomes. Patient Support Nurses interact with patients via multiple channels (e.g., phone, email, text) to educate and empower them. This position does not involve the practice of nursing. This role is home-based, and the Patient Support Nurses will service the patients virtually; all patient-facing activities and internal collaboration will be telephonic/ virtual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage inbound and outbound calls to/from existing patients, new patients, and/or other agreed parties, i.e., specialty pharmacy personnel.

The Patient Support Nurse will only provide information, product use training, and provide adherence services after a patient has been prescribed the drug and opted-in to be enrolled in the program.

All Patient Support Nurses activities will be performed in a manner that is consistent and compliant with Company policies.

The Patient Support Nurses may not provide medical advice or counsel.

Understand patient privacy laws including HIPPA compliance.

Establish relationships, identify trends, and provide education.

Effectively and compliantly communicate with patients with approved terminology and approved messaging only.

Create and maintain a positive impression with the patients.

Prepare reports for Management as needed.

Good understanding of and full compliance with all laws, regulations, and Amplity Solutions Policies and Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant state and federal laws and regulations, and terms and conditions prescribed in the Sample Administrative Agreements and PDMA Guidelines.

Participate in national, regional and district meetings, training sessions, and represent Client at national and/or local conventions when applicable.

Successfully complete all required Client and product training
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college required.
-
Active nursing license (RN, NP) or PA with licensure in the state in which they reside.
-
A minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience is required.
-
A minimum of 2 years’ patient experience is required. 5+ years or more nursing experience preferred.

Previous pharmaceutical patient education experience a plus.

Strong compliance focus, with integrity and ethical judgement.

Strong proficiency in virtual engagement and utilization of virtual platforms.

Empathy, drive, and a commitment to service.

Ability to successfully work remotely and manage time effectively.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical/ medical terminology and to maintain the required expertise.

Effective collaboration skills; able to work independently and as a team member.

Willingness to travel if needed for training or team meetings (including overnight and/or weekends).
