Overview
The P&C Account Executive is responsible for producing, underwriting, and retention for the dedicated Agency portfolio of clients and their book of business. This role consistently strives to achieve budgeted financial results through execution of market segment strategies. Responsibilities
• Maintains accurate and thorough documentation for all underwriting and premium billing in order to consistently service clients. These functions include Surety, ERISA bond, Disability billing, limits of liability, renewals and certificates of insurance.
• Properly underwrites and assesses risk for all bonds and statutory disability to increase revenue. Makes appropriate decisions within established underwriting authority and makes appropriate recommendations for client and Agency.
• Processes all insurance carrier transactions timely to mitigate financial risk and exposure to the Agency.
• Facilitates resolution and data integrity for any system discrepancies within HRIS, databases, cycle 5 billing and carrier systems. Determines root cause and recommends solutions while resolving each issue.
• Collaborates with carrier to ensure continuous accuracy of policy and client information. Responsible for maintaining monthly remittance and client base reconciliations.
• Communicates policy changes to the client in a clear and concise manner while demonstrating a thorough understanding of P&C as well as LAH Insurance industry standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Surety, Fidelity Bonds and Statutory Disability to provide guidance and assistance with all related questions within the Agency. Represents the agency in various projects.
• Researches and resolves complex product and service issues from internal/external clients. In order to provide quality service, ability to diffuse difficult client concerns and handle the situation through knowledge of the system, product and relationships created with insurance partners.
• An act as a mentor to Paychex Insurance Agency (PIA) Service Representatives ensuring all proper procedures are followed and actively contributes to product related training sessions.
• Continues to stay abreast of all changes pertaining to various product offerings, regulatory updates, and insurance industry developments in order to properly service the client.
• Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, or Finance - Preferred
• 3 years of experience in Account Executive within a Financial Institution or Commercial Surety and Fidelity role.
• Property & Casualty License is required
• LAH license is required within 90 days of employment
• Relevant Insurance License This role requires you to be eligible for applicable insurance licensing in all 50 states, which may involve an enhanced background check. If you are not currently licensed, you will be required to obtain the necessary insurance license(s) within 90 calendar days of your official start date. Failure to obtain the required license(s) within 90 days of your start date and to maintain eligibility throughout the duration of your employment may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment. Paychex Insurance Agency, Inc. (PIA) will cover the cost of up to two (2) attempts to pass a state insurance licensing exam including exam materials and testing fee. The cost of any additional attempts will be at the expense of the individual employee. If an individual is hired by PIA with an active and current license(s), that employee will be responsible for the timely updating and/or verifying of any changes that may have occurred with their state license(s) prior to their start date at PIA. This includes any state of residence changes, e-mail changes, mailing address changes or name changes. - Required
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $52,330.10 - $82,233.01/yr. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range
