Job Summary
The Accounting Co-op role provides access to key leaders and exposure to career paths within accounting and finance. The Accounting Co-op will have the opportunity to complete job shadows in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit and Tax, and assist with monthly close activities. The Accounting Co-op will utilize data analysis and accounting skills to ensure the integrity of accounting information when recording, verifying and reconciling.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Assist in compiling and analyzing data when preparing certain journal entries during the monthly close process.
• Perform assigned month-end responsibilities including analyzing, allocating, posting, reconciling and verifying transactions related to certain general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules and information to support audits.
• Assist the Accounting teams in performing certain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist with special projects, within accounting as needed.
Requirements
• Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with a major in accounting, finance, or analytical field
• 3.5 cumulative GPA or above and completion of at least one year of college-level coursework.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, (flexible start and end dates), to be mutually agreed to.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; strong Excel skills; experience in virtual environment tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint)
• Professional written and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and proactive in process-improvement
• Experience operating in a professional work environment
Paycor Total Rewards
We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. We anticipate the base pay for this position to be $18.00-$22.00 hourly.
