Payment & Risk Analyst (evening shift)

We’re just about to release our bespoke Risk Tool, which is a result of a great collaboration of the people within our business - we did not want to buy it, we wanted to build it.

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic and energetic new addition to our Risk Team; the hero who will help us look beyond the obvious and relish a fast paced startup culture. We’re looking for someone who wants to share their passion, drive and ideas. As after all, it’s a team effort!

This is a permanent, full time position in our UK team. The working hours are Monday till Friday from 1.30 pm to 10.00 pm and will include occasional weekend cover. While this role does offer flexibility in terms of where you work once you're settled in, during the onboarding process you’ll be required to be onsite at our Farnborough office.

What you'll do:

• Use your knowledge, skill and instincts when reviewing our customers’ account activity, while proactively looking to segment the information you come across to find deeper patterns
• Contribute to team meetings about departmental strategy - we want to hear you!
• Work closely with our Member Services, Operations and Supervisor Teams to resolve customer issues quickly and provide a business orientated risk perspective
• Work with our Payment Risk Assistants and Analysts performing second line customer screening against PEPs & Sanctions Lists when necessary
• Contribute to ongoing and ad-hoc research projects
• Ability to work from a blank canvas designing new Risk processes and performing deep dive analysis from fraud prevention, product misuse and payment processing perspectives
• Perform various administrative duties as and when required
• Support the Risk Manager in a variety of projects - always throw in your angle!
• Work with our Customer Ops Team to provide the business with reports and updates on fraud – weekly, monthly and as and when required
• Upskill and provide coaching for GoHenry Member Service Operators and new starters as required

What we’re looking for:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the online payment, fraud prevention and analytical environment
• Independent, confident and creative problem solver
• The ability to work under pressure and make fast informed decisions with many information resources at once - “Risk vs Reward” business overview mentality is a must!
• Possession of strong analytical skills with proven ability to measure and achieve performance goals with minimal supervision or guidance
• Solid personal time management supported by robust attention to detail and the ability to report your findings in a timely and structured manner
• Strong Excel skills – some training will be provided where required
• Experience with SQL and/or independently analysing large amounts of data
• Fluent in English across both spoken and written communications
